The property had previously been extended in the loft and at the rear ground floor. The previous rear ground floor extension had resulted in a convoluted kitchen / sitting / dining area with poor connection between the different areas.

The client requested an extension providing better use of space and light. This resulted in a simple flat roof extension with large glazed sliders connecting directly to the garden. The kitchen changed from a galley style kitchen separated from the living area to a kitchen that flowed directly into the living and dining areas and incorporated an island. The roof light allowed light to flood into the living area.
