An extension to an existing lodge house within a sensitive greenbelt location.

The extension was conceived as a new brick construction using similar brick to the existing lodge. In order to retain the character and minimise the impact on the existing lodge the extension was separated from the existing with a glazed link.

The property has a light and airy feel throughout thanks to the roof of the glazed link, which allows light to flood into the centre. The entire building underwent renovation. From the entrance, you enter a large living space with a kitchen, dining area, and sitting area that are connected all take advantage of the glass link. In the existing building are cosier rooms including a snug. At the top of the stairs, there is a gallery landing area that lets light flood the ground floor and creates an airy, welcoming atmosphere.
